Health Benefit Package Seminar: Presentation of Research Findings
Date: 21 November 2025

MaHTAS hosted a Townhall Session at PICC to present research findings on developing a national framework for an Explicit Health Benefit Package. The session, officiated by the Director-General of Health, brought together 127 participants from MOH, government agencies, NGOs, and patient groups to discuss equitable, evidence-based priority-setting for Malaysia’s healthcare system. Strong stakeholder support reaffirmed the commitment to advancing a transparent, high-value health benefit package for all Malaysians.

HTA-CPG Council Meeting 2/2025

Date: 20 November 2025

Chaired by the Director-General of Health, the HTA-CPG Council Meeting gathered leaders across MOH, hospitals, universities, and advisory committees. The council reviewed and endorsed four CPGs, one HTA report, multiple technology reviews, and five Horizon Scanning TechBriefs covering a wide range of clinical and technological developments. The meeting reinforced Malaysia’s commitment to evidence-based, safe, and cost-effective healthcare, with all endorsed documents to be published on the MaHTAS and MOH websites.

ASEAN Regional Cooperation on Harmonisation of HTA Reporting Formats
Date: 12–13 November 2025

MaHTAS participated as co-lead in the Second ASEAN Workshop on harmonising HTA reporting formats in Makati City, Manila. Malaysia’s delegation worked alongside HTA Philippines and other ASEAN Member States to refine reporting templates for pharmaceuticals and medical devices. The workshop strengthened regional collaboration and supported efforts toward more consistent, evidence-informed policymaking across ASEAN.
