About
The Malaysian Health Technology Assessment Section (MaHTAS), under the Medical Development Division, serves as the custodian of evidence and value-based medicine within the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
MaHTAS produces HTA-related reports through a systematic, multidisciplinary evaluation of health technologies and interventions, providing critical insights to guide MOH policy decisions and inform the public.
We also oversee the development and implementation of clinical practice guidelines using an evidence-based approach, supporting healthcare providers in improving patient care quality.
Through MaHTAS' horizon scanning activities, we identifies emerging health technologies and interventions with significant potential impact, delivering early awareness to relevant authorities to ensure a responsive and efficient healthcare system.
